It's very important to remain on a healthy, high fiber and low fat diet and get plenty of exercise. To aid in digestion it is important to stay away from all junk foods, fast food, fried foods and microwaved meals. These all tend to collect inside and slow down your digestive system. Avoid refined sugar and try to eliminate all foods made from white flour, such as bread and pastas. Desserts should be fruit.
Eating lots of organic, raw fruits and vegetables that are high in fiber are important for overall colon health, but especially important during a cleanse. They also contain vitamins, minerals and enzymes which are necessary for a healthy body. Lean meats such as fish or chicken, raw nuts and seeds, and beans or lentils are the best choices for protein requirements.
Be sure to continue to drink lots of purified water throughout the day, and not coffee or sodas.
